⚡ How To Master Your Morning Habits

Good morning fellow shockers! Happy #MotivationMonday!

I hope you had a fantastic weekend and are ready to crush the week ahead.

Last week we launched our Apple Watch 3 giveaway. If you haven’t entered yet, there’s several ways you can improve your chances of winning. The contest is completely free to enter, no catch.

Now for #MotivationMonday

Today I have an exciting interview with Pavlok community member Penny, an entrepreneur living in Los Angeles who spent most of her life struggling to get going in the morning.

With the help of Pavlok, Penny was able to go from “not a morning person” to an “all day person” in just a few short months.

Here’s a few things you’ll learn in today’s interview:

  • Why most people fail at building a morning routine and what do do instead.
  • How to stop annoying your roommates or partner in the morning with those multiple alarms.
  • The 3 habits Penny likes to do in the morning to get her day started on the right track.

And much more.

Remember, making just a few small tweaks in your morning can make all the difference in your day. Even if you’ve never considered yourself a morning person, the Shock Clock or Pavlok 2 can help!

Enjoy the interview!

Happy Motivation Monday Pavlokians,

Today is #MotivationMonday! I just finished up my trip to Tanzania, and it was A-MAZING.

Today I’m very excited to share an interview with Pavlok’s very own Nicholas who has used Pavlok to overcome perfectionism and help turn off his “critical entrepreneur” inner voice.

If you’re an entrepreneur or creative type, you know exactly what I’m talking about.

Building your business often requires spending your entire day putting out metaphorical fires and turning off after a long days work isn’t always easy.

What I like most about Nicholas’ story is that he was able to use Pavlok to consciously become aware when his critical/negative inner voice started to take over and has seen some pretty incredible results.

Talk soon,

Conscious eating and overcoming chronic oversleeping with Pavlok

Hey Pavlokians,

Happy #MotivationMonday!

I’m super excited to share today’s interview with Pavlok community member Tina. If you’re active in our Pavlok Facebook group, the name should sound familiar as she’s Pavlok’s kickass community manager 🙂

She’s shared a little bit of her story in the past, but we wanted to dive even deeper into her incredibly inspiring story.

In our interview, she shares more on how Pavlok helped her with chronic oversleeping, and how she is now more mindful of her eating habits.

It’s a short clip, but I’m confident you’ll leave inspired. And if you’re looking to upgrade your habits you can preorder the Pavlok 2 at 20% off during our November early bird sale.

Focusing on just one habit change can have a profound effect in many areas of your life. Are you up for the challenge?

P.S We are kicking off a wake-up challenge in the Pavlok Facebook group on November 1st,  so be sure to join in on the fun.

Let’s see what you’re made of 🙂

#MotivationMonday Mastering Your Emotions And Your Life

Hey Pavlokians!

Welcome to another #MotivationMonday!

As I’ve said time and time again, one of my favorite things about building Pavlok is hearing about the incredible results many members of the Pavlok community have seen in their lives after using Pavlok.

And while we’ve shared these stories via our #MotivationMonday emails for the last year, the Pavlok team and I decided we wanted to dig deeper and share these stories in an ‘interview’ format.

Over the last few months our start interviewer Alex has set out to have conversations with Pavlok users who have used Pavlok to help them in a wide range of ways.

Some have used Pavlok to quit smoking. Others have used Pavlok to start waking up on time.

Our goal with these interviews is to give you an inside look at the journey of transformation – the ups and downs, the good and the bad.
Change takes time. It takes hard work. Sometimes it’s painful. But with the right approach and support system, things can and do get better.

In our interview, today with sit down with Pavlok community member Alli Bogdan who shares her incredible journey of overcoming years of abuse with the help of Pavlok.

Alli’s story does end on an extraordinary positive note. However the topic matter does cover abuse, so please use your best judgement when watching.
We are honored that Alli felt comfortable sharing her story with the Pavlok community, and hope it motivates and inspires those who need it most.

Watch the video to hear Alli’s incredible story of how she overcame years of abuse through emotional healing.

It Starts With Mindset

Happy #MotivationMonday Pavlokians!

Today we’re kicking off the first email of a series of posts about changing habits. This week we’ll be diving deep into understanding the Habit Loop and bad habits — but to start, we’ll be focusing on mindset.

One of the things that recently changed my life was learning about the scarcity mentality vs abundance mentality.

Now if you’re like me,  you may have at first thought that sounds a little “woo-woo.” But in my experience that couldn’t be further from the truth.

But before we discuss mindset, I want to talk about a couple things.

#1) As you might have noticed, I’ve also been doing a lot more video lately. I attribute much of this to my 30 day Facebook Live experiment, but the feedback has been fantastic so far. If you have any tips or suggestions on what videos I should make — please let me know.

Now back to scarcity vs abundance….

The scarcity mentality is that of zero-sum – the belief that for one person to succeed, another must fail. It’s the belief that there’s not enough to go around for everyone.

The abundance mentality is different: it is the belief that when you succeed, it actually helps the pie grow larger.

If you’re feeling stuck or not seeing the results you want in life, chances are good you have a scarcity mindset.

But fortunately the abundance mindset is something that can be developed.

As Henry Ford once said “whether you think you can, or think you can’t — you’re right.”

If you believe you’re stuck with bad habits forever… you’re right.

If you believe you can improve yourself through small changes over time… you’re right.

So today, spend sometime reflecting on your current mindset. Do you have a scarcity mindset? Or a mindset of abundance?

When working to improve your life (regardless of where you’re starting) you want to first work on developing an attitude and outlook that will increase your chances of success.

This won’t be easy, but putting in the work to improve your mindset can make all the difference.

Please commnet and let me know your thoughts 🙂 It’s actually me reading and replying, and I really want to meet you.

Why The Morning Is The Best Time To Form New Habits

Happy #MotivationMonday fellow Pavlokians!

If you haven’t heard the BIG NEWS, later this month Pavlok will be releasing our best product yet; Pavlok Rise — the only wearable and software combination to help you wake up, stay up, and form a powerful morning routine. We’ve taken everything we’ve learned over the last 4+ years and put it all together to help you form positive habits with ease.

To celebrate, over the next few weeks we’ll be sharing everything we know on how to form powerful morning routines — even if you don’t consider yourself a ‘morning person.’

We couldn’t be more excited about the opportunity to help thousands of people start their day with focus, energy, and momentum.

But first…

Why should you focus on the morning routine when you’re trying to build good habits?

We’ve hinted at it in the past…

But focusing on changing your habits in the morning is the next closest thing to a ‘magic bullet.’

The truth is, habit change is hard.

If you’re looking to start exercising more… waiting until the end of the day after a long day of work probably isn’t the best option.

If you’re looking to start meditating, doing so at the end of the day when your favorite shows are on, probably isn’t the best idea.

Which is why it’s so important to tackle your goals first thing in the morning.

And having a clear morning routine helps you do exactly that.

As we’ve said time and time again, in order to succeed in building positive habits, you have to give yourself every chance to succeed, and starting your day with a dose of personal growth is the best way to go.

There are two specific reasons implanting positive habits in the morning is so beneficial.

For one, focusing on your habits in the morning starts your day on a positive note.

There’s no better feeling than starting your day feeling productive and energetic. Even something as simple as making your bed each morning can have a profound impact on the rest of your day. Do this time and time again, and that positive momentum slowly builds to something great.

Second, when you focus habits in the morning, your willpower is at its peak state. The latest science proves willpower is a finite resource, meaning after a long day you’re significantly less likely to follow through on your goals.

Exercising for just 30 minutes in the morning is much easier than waiting until later in the day when things “magically” pop up.

Again, having a morning routine isn’t about being a morning person. Just waking up 20-30 minutes early is more than enough time for you to implement those habits you’ve always been putting off.

Of course, you’ll still have to put in the work. You’ll still have to do everything you can to set yourself up for success. But in our experience with helping thousands change their behavior for good, we genuinely believe focusing on habit change in the morning is one of the best things you can do.

If you’ve struggled to form good habits in the past, it’s time to start focusing on your habits in the morning, and Pavlok  coming out later this month will give you everything you need to succeed… once and for all.

We couldn’t be more excited. And we can’t wait for you to join us.
